and I am honored to welcome all of our distinguished guests, faculty, staff, alumni family friends and, most importantly, the Class of 2016 to this very special event; the School of Medicine Academic Hooding Ceremony. All of you here gathered today have shared in the success of these students and it is a great gift that you are here with us on this special day. This is a celebration not only of our student's achievements but of the love, encouragement and support that makes this day possible for our graduates. It is now my pleasure to invite Mark Johnson, President of the

University of Nevada, Reno to the podium. Johnson: Good afternoon, and I too would like to welcome everyone here today and especially the Class of 2016 from the University of Nevada School of Medicine. This is an exciting time for you all and for the School of Medicine and I cannot recall a time when the University, the School of Medicine, and our community have been in more alignment than they are right now. We share a very clear and compelling vision for the future of healthcare in Northern Nevada and our state. The school is transforming with new partners and new programs and today,

This is a celebration, not only of achievement, but of the love, encouragement and the support that has made this day possible for our graduates.
