Self taught 11 year old will blow you away with her beautiful voice
I'm Amira Willighagen, I'm from Nijmegen, that's in Holland. And I've learned to sing opera from YouTube. My brother played violin, and I said to my mother, quot;I also want to do something.quot; And mother said, quot; You have to practice yourself.quot; So, then I was looking on YouTube to Andrea Boccelli. He has a beautiful voice and I really wanted to sing like him. I was listening to the words and singing with the computer,
so that I could do the same with my mouth. I was doing this, and this, and this. And then I was practicing and I was singing a song and my mother was like. My favorite part from the song is at the end because then I could put all my drama, at the end there is a high note and then I can do quot;yaa!! quot; So yes, that's a very beautiful song.
When I'm singing, I'm very happy that the people are liking me so much, and if I'm standing on stage and if I'm singing, I'm not a little girl anymore. Its feeling as if I'm grown up. And, the important thing with singing operais that you like it because if you don't like it, then its not fun. I want to show people that opera is not boring, but really fun, and not only Katy Perry and Lady Gaga and that stuff.
Its like a dessert for me. If I had a choice between chocolate cake or opera singing I would really choose opera singing.
