grunting noises In order to sound like The Weekend, you have to literally make your face frozen to the point where it's numb and you can't feel it anymore. â™ª I can't feel my face when I'm with you. â™ª And once you get the frozen face down, all you have to do is act like you're sad and depressed.
â™ª I'm just tryna get you out the friend zone. â™ª And if people can't hear you, just use a megaphone. â™ª I only call you when it's half past. â™ª In order to sound like Fetty Wap, just sing as if you just got hit in the nuts. Or for girls to relate, just make the sound you make when you cut wind. You know, when you get the wind knocked out of you, you make the sound that's like stressed inhale and then just sing like that. Fetty Wap.

Hello little buns! It is Stef, welcome backto my home! I want to address one of the most common misconceptionsand one of the most frequently asked questions I get, today how do trans women change theirvoice, and if I am a trans woman, that's you! How do I change my voiceé The misconceptionhere is that hormones replacement therapy is going to change your voice. For transgendermen, that is the case. Testosterone thickens your vocal chords, but for trans women, it'snot. Hormone replacement therapy will not do very much to your voice at all. When people undergo testosteronebased puberty,their vocal chords thicken. This means that no matter what gender you are, if there isa lot of testosterone in your body, your voice is going to deepen. Estrogen, however, doesnot affect the vocal chords in any way. After the testosterone has affected your vocal chords,the physical changes are permanent and no amount of hormone therapy can reverse it.At 5 months on estrogen, all of my voice changes have been through VOICE TRAINING, and sometimes(infrequently, but sometimes) computer editing. I want to make it very clear that by not alltrans people have to train their voice only do it if it is something that YOU want foryourself, to lessen your dysphoria or for
any other reason. Just make sure you're doingit for you, and not for the approval of others, otherwise it's going to be a source of negativityand frustration in your life. I promise you, I promise!Voice training is a difficult thing to grasp and to practice. I find myself slipping outof consistensy all the time that is probably the most difficult aspect of it, is trainingyour voice to be consistent. Because some days you might have a fantastic voice andyou'll be like, quot;damn I can do all of thise!quot; and other days you might feel like, why can'tI get thereé What is stopping meé The hardest part is definitely being consistent. WhatI and many other trans women endeavour to
do with voice training is to train my voiceinto a naturally softer tone and higher pitch. Everybody has a different goal with voicetraining but that generally across the board, in regards to trans women, is usually whatit's about. Usually. Another big misconception about voice training is that it is only pitchthat needs to be trained. In fact, the pitch of your voice is the least important aspectof vocal feminization. The most important thing in vocal feminization is the tone andthe speech patterns. While I know that your genitalia defines what your voice will belike, I know that we live in a world where boys and girls are raised to behave differently.This means, as you grow up as a girl or as
a boy, you are going to subconciously takeon the vocal characteristics of that gender purely from subconcious learning as you observethe people you are told to aspire to be like. While that is the very reason many trans peoplewant to train their voice, it is also something you can use to help you. Before you even starttraining your voice, listen to people who have voices you like listen to them speak,poetry, sing, whatever. Try to notice aspects about their voice that you admire. This isimportant. Think of somebody like that, keep them in mind we're going to call them yourvocal goals, okayé It can be something unattainable! It doesn't have to be something that is consideredachieveable. Just think of the voice and think
of what it's like, and you're on the rightpage. The bottom line is, learning any skill requires observation of the skill itself.Before I get into the techniques I'm using to train my voice, I want to do a vocal comparison.I am going to speak a line from one of my very first tutorials, from long before I startedtransitioning. Singing with Allergies
hey guys I'm Katie Talbot with SingingSuccess and I want to talk to you about dreadful allergies i know we have a few tutorials and even afew blogs on this subject but it seems like this year at least in Nashville hasbeen one of the worst years for allergies and i say that because mybody has been actually holding onto allergies more than it usually does and I've had to kind of up my defensetowards it and I just wanted to give you a few pointers on what I use when itcomes to allergies and some of the
specific practices that I do likeat home and then some of the exercises that I do as well. when it comes togetting up in the morning especially as a coach I've got to get my voice warmed upquickly for six or sevenhour days of teaching background singing vocalproducing. you name it I've got to get my voice ready to go but when we wake up with allergies it'sjust that that tickle in your throat even and that's what I have even rightnow and it's so good to get that light and right connection so I'll kind ofstart with (edge exercise)
digging into that vocal fry and thensliding up to an easy clean connection just a (edge exercise) this is easy to do too when it comes to morning too because our voices are down here wedon't really want to be up we don't want to be give me mycoffee don't talk to me until I'm through my coffee so use that to your advantage. so niceeasy quot;ah edge ecersisequot; just gonna walk up a little bit (ah edge exercise) and if open mouth a little bit difficult
go to an quot;mquot; go (mm exercise) because then you're not letting any airflow out you're keeping those muscles coordinated without any air flow it's more so the compression (edge exercise) this is such a great exercise to getthose edge cords coordinated again get that light and right connection againuse those lip rolls ok we do this because it takes pressureoff the cords
it gets you through those bridges withoutthose breaks this is why we are so passionate about this exercise. so I like to do a mix octave in the morning and I'll just kinda if I don't have a piano with me i'll just (demonstrates lip roll exercise) again i'm all about dancing through my bridges (lip roll exercise)(lip roll exercise) this going back and forth really turnsyour voice into the vocal instrument that is. it doesn't give you a chance toto think of quot;okay, here comes a high notequot; in that back and forth going back and forth
